SM 420er 2020 in Brunnen

The past weekend a group of 40 sailors gathered in the Port of Fallenbach for the 420 Swiss Championship. On the first day of the three everyone needed a dose of patience as the wind took some time to develop. Finally, it was just about enough to sail one race, but everyone enjoyed the sunny weather and amazing view.

After the conditions on Friday, the thermal winds on Saturday were welcomed with open arms from all and lead to three fun races. The Oscar flag made everything more exciting and sailors finished the races with happy and (some) tired faces. To make the day even better, everyone gathered for the collective dinner organized by DRCS. Finally, everyone went their separate ways with good spirits and full stomachs.

The final day started off with bleak weather, but things took a sharp turn for the better when the wind started picking up right in front of the club. Due to the point difference being small, especially between the top 7, the pressure was on and the fight went on until the very last second. However our RVZS team managed to push forward and snatch the top three positions! Happy coach and sailors about winning on home waters. Definitely a good way to get back to regatta sailing.
